JCS Milk & Honey: 500+ Volunteers Come Together to Support Local Seniors
On Sunday, August 23, more than 500 volunteers came together for Jewish Community Services of South Florida’s (JCS) Milk & Honey event, packaging essential food and personal care items for more than 400 Holocaust survivors and vulnerable seniors across South Florida ahead of the High Holidays in September.
The annual community effort helps provide older adults with essential supplies while reminding recipients that they remain connected to and supported by the broader South Florida community.
Through its Holocaust Survivor Assistance Program and Senior Case Management program, JCS provides critical support and services to some of South Florida’s most vulnerable and frail older adults, helping them remain safe, connected and cared for in their homes and communities.
