Hundreds of people protesting upcoming budget cuts outside Miami-Dade commission headquarters today. Miriam Singer, President of Jewish Community Services of South Florida, says there is a proposed 30 percent reduction in grants for safety-net services. The $12.9 billion plan includes cuts to charity grants, parks and social-services while hiking transit fares for the first time since 2013. The second budget hearing is set for next week.
