Homebound seniors throughout Miami-Dade County received Rosh Hashanah food baskets and conversed with volunteers during the annual Milk & Honey food program.
For this recent annual Rosh Hashanah food program, presented by Jewish Community Services of South Florida and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, more than 750 volunteers gathered at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center and Beth David Congregation in Miami to assemble food baskets before delivering them to the seniors.
“We had a great turnout of families, community leaders, JCS Alliance young professionals and groups representing the cultural and religious communities of Miami-Dade County,” noted Alec Rosen, vice president for JCS’ Community Engagement Division. “Many thanks to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation for their support and everyone that was involved in making this a successful event.”
