Who We Are

Bienvenidos! We are a dedicated volunteer group of women and men committed to improving the lives of South Florida families in need. The JCS Latino is a multicultural group including members from Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, and Mexico among other Latin countries. Some of us are immigrants, others are “veteranos” with a wide range of professional and personal experiences. We enjoy working on community projects with our own Sabor Latino!

Why We Serve

Our background has taught us that charity is an important value and that family is at the heart of our community. For this reason, we engage our members through special events, volunteering opportunities (for children and adults) mitzvahs, Simchas, and projects designed by our team. Our goal is to educate, inspire and take action around JCS programs to support the most vulnerable with safety net services.

We offer Latinos the opportunity to integrate with our community, participate in unique events and give back. As part of the Jewish Community Services family, you will have:

  • the option to attend many small and large-scale charitable events
  • meet like-minded Jewish individuals and families from all over South America
  • the opportunity to meet and/or affect vulnerable individuals including homebound seniors, Holocaust Survivors, and more
  • the ability to develop an association with one of South Florida’s most reputable social service agencies

Give to the JCS Latino Fund

Your donation will support Jewish Community Service’s diverse repertoire of 40 innovative and compassionate programs that benefit vulnerable individuals of all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, and socio-economic levels across South Florida. Funds will also be delegated to our micro and macro client-centric events and campaigns. These include Milk & Honey, Miami Marathon, Matzah Mitzvah, 211 Day and more!
