Several Jewish nonprofits throughout South Florida are making every effort to collect and deliver food – and some companionship – to those most vulnerable.

The success of these programs is due in large part to the thousands of volunteers who give of their time and energy.

To name just a few, these projects include: the Homebound Mitzvah Program by the West Palm Beach-based MorseLife Health System; the Matzah Mitzvah Passover food distribution presented by Jewish Community Services of South Florida and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation; Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services Jacobson Family Food Pantry in Delray Beach; and Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward County’s kosher food pantry, The Cupboard, in Plantation.
