The Miami Times: Miami-Dade advances nonprofit trust fund amid county budget cuts
Last week, the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners advanced an ordinance that could permanently change how local nonprofits are funded. Sponsored by Commissioner Kionne McGhee, the measure responds to concerns raised by Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) over looming budget cuts for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. It passed its first reading and now heads to committee.
