Safety Smarts

Safety Smarts is a child sexual abuse prevention program for Jewish Middle Schools. Safety Smarts is an interactive and engaging curriculum that teaches staff, parents and students tools for keeping safe.

Parents learn about supervision, communication, the grooming process, signs and symptoms of abuse, high risk situations and how to handle a disclosure. Additionally, school staff learn the abuse law and healthy boundaries between adults and children. Students in grades 5 through-8 learn the ABCD’s of safety: Act with Respect, Be Assertive, Crossing Boundaries and Do Tell.
