This year, JCS Alliance Team Blue Card will be offering both an in-person marathon option and a virtual marathon option.

All funds raised by JCS Alliance Team Blue Card will support Holocaust survivors in Miami-Dade County.

In-Person Registration Directions

Step 1. Register for the Miami Marathon here.

Please note there will be a $135 registration fee for the half-marathon and a $155 registration fee for the full marathon.

This step allows you to be a registered participant with the Miami Marathon.


Step 2.
Click here and fill out JCS’ application form, medical waiver and media release.

This step allows you to be registered as a team member of JCS Alliance Team Blue Card in the Miami Marathon


Step 3.
Set up your personal fundraiser here.

Please click “participate with this charity.” Then, choose which marathon you will be participating in – full marathon or half-marathon.

Share your story – we invite you to create a compelling page and add pictures. Let your friends and family know what this cause means to you, and the impact their funds will make.

Virtual Marathon Registration Directions

Step 1. Visit the Miami Marathon’s website at this link to register.

Please choose the option you’d like to participate in.

** Please note runners must log their total miles between Feb 4-6.

IMPORTANT FUNDRAISING NOTES:

  • We highly encourage your minimum fundraising goal to be $500 for the half-marathon and $1,000 for the full marathon. We invite you to set a high fundraising goal to create an impact for our Holocaust survivors!
  • If you raise $3,600, you will receive complimentary entrance into the NYC Marathon on behalf of Team Blue Card.

 


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

What is Team Blue Card?
Since inception, The Blue Card has provided almost $46M to Holocaust Survivors throughout the United States. In Miami-Dade County, Jewish Community Service’s affinity group, JCS Alliance, has partnered with The Blue Card over the past several years to provide financial assistance for local Holocaust survivors. Since 2011, Team Blue Card JCS Alliance runners raised over $450,000. For the upcoming race in February, we hope to achieve our $50,000 goal!

Who can participate?
Anyone over age 18 can run or walk. Walkers are expected to complete each mile within 16 minutes.

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) serves more than 550 Holocaust Survivors with a comprehensive range of programs so they can continue to live at home with independence and dignity.
