The program focuses on helping students develop life skills, increase resiliency and self-esteem, and is funded by the United Way of Miami-Dade. In addition, JCS offers educational seminars and professional development training to school personnel and other community leaders who work with LGBTQIA+ youth in order to increase their understanding of the challenges facing the LGBTQIA+ community and make their lives safer.

We offer referrals for:

  • Tutoring
  • ACT/SAT preparation
  • HIV and other test referrals
  • Planned Parenthood/Family Planning
  • Psychiatric consultation

JCS is a founding member and partner with the Alliance for GLBTQ Youth which is funded by The Children’s Trust. It is the only non-profit organization in Miami-Dade County exclusively committed to providing prevention, early intervention social services, and advocacy to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth, their families, and other community members.

JCS has a vast array of resources available and provides the professional, caring services on an individual, family or group basis to address problems and challenges facing LGBT persons of any age, regardless of race, ability status, religion, or insurance coverage. Most insurance is accepted and most services are offered on a sliding scale.
