The Seniors Never Alone Program is a voluntary program for enrolled seniors residents, 65 years or older, who live in Miami-Dade County. The Seniors Never Alone Program is free of charge and provides weekly reassurance telephone and Skype services.
Calls range from a basic check-in to emergency situation resolutions to simple conversations. Many program participants are too frail or ill to leave their homes, and frequently Switchboard’s reassurance counselors are the only human voice they hear for extended periods of time.
The Seniors Never Alone Program offers:
- Crisis Counseling
- Suicide Prevention
- Information and Referral
- Case Management
The Seniors Never Alone Program is connected to the incoming Helpline through Switchboard’s Contact Center. This allows seniors to call in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Services available in English, Spanish, and Creole.
For more information or to enroll in the program, please call: (305) 646-3606
The Seniors Never Alone Program was a proud recipient of the 2013 Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce NOVO Awards.
