The JCS Alliance has given me the opportunity to make a difference in the community. It is a group that set goals to improve the community and actually meets those goals. Through various initiatives such as the fundraising campaign to purchase new buses for homebound seniors and preparing holiday baskets for the elderly, the JCS Alliance truly makes a difference.

When I heard about JCS Alliance’s goal to raise $10,000 to send 10 children of JCS Shalom Bayit to Jewish summer camp, I felt the need to take an active role. JCS Shalom Bayit offers a safe place and services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

When I was younger, I looked forward to attending summer camp, making new friends, and partaking in different activities that I could not usually do at school. I was also a summer camp counselor where I was able to watch the impact camp has on children. I wanted to ensure these 10 deserving children were able to have this experience.

The Miami Jewish community has been so giving by helping JCS reach our fundraising goal to send these children to camp. If you want to offer your time and/or resources to make a difference in the community, please support JCS Alliance and JCS.
