Today a former client wanted to donate to the KFB. She explained that she was a contractor for the US Military and was stationed in Afghanistan for 22 months. When she returned home, she and her husband were really struggling to make ends meet.
She is moving to Israel (making Aliyah) with her husband and 4 children. She had $900.00 left on her food stamps card that she didn’t need to use and could not return. She used that $900 to purchase kosher ground meat, ground turkey and some baby formula and devoted these to the JCS Kosher Food Bank. She explained that she feels so blessed that she is able to give back to a place that helped her and her family so much when they were going through a tough time.
