The Beth David Congregation presented “100 Years of Jewish Music,” a concert featuring 15 of the most talented cantors from congregations throughout Miami. As Cantor Julie Jacobs of Beth David explained, “This event brought together different styles and traditions of Jewish music in celebration of our 100-year anniversary. We are gratified these cantors performed not just to honor our temple but to benefit a wonderful cause — the JCS Kosher Food Bank.”
Madelyn Merritt, Beth David congregant and former JCS Board member, attended the event and was delighted to see cantors from different temples uniting to support the Kosher Food Bank, and provide a memorable afternoon of joyous song. “It was a delightful celebration of Beth David’s first century, made more meaningful because it helped families who are struggling to put food on their tables,” she said.
