Photos from Beth David Event Benefitting JCS Kosher Food Bank

The Beth David Congregation presented “100 Years of Jewish Music,” a concert featuring 15 of the most talented cantors from congregations throughout Miami. As Cantor Julie Jacobs of Beth David explained, “This event  brought together different styles and traditions of Jewish music in celebration of our 100-year anniversary. We are gratified these cantors performed not just to honor our temple but to benefit a wonderful cause — the JCS Kosher Food Bank.”

Madelyn Merritt, Beth David congregant and former JCS Board member, attended the event and was delighted to see cantors from different temples uniting to support the Kosher Food Bank, and provide a memorable afternoon of joyous song. “It was a delightful celebration of Beth David’s first century, made more meaningful because it helped families who are struggling to put food on their tables,” she said.

Board member Joy Spill wrote the following note of appreciation.
Dear Cantor Jacobs,
On behalf of the JCS Board of Directors and the JCS Resource Development Committee, we thank Beth David and the Cantors in the community for their very generous donation. The beauty of this gift is exceeded only by the beauty of your collective voices.
