Lapciuc Dinner Combines Art & Appreciation

Israel and Tania Lapciuc, Thomas Muhl, Jonas Roth and Fred Stock

‘An Evening of Art Mazel,’ this year’s Lapciuc Appreciation Dinner thanking significant donors to JCS, was an event to remember featuring the artwork of noted artist and Holocaust survivor Thomas Muhl, great food and spectacular views at the beautiful Miami Beach home of Tania and Israel Lapciuc.

Over 140 guests heard heartfelt remarks from University of Miami students Nicky Cassinera and Jennifer Bard, who participated in the Holocaust Survivors Internship Program. This program, which JCS does in collaboration with UM, provides valuable support to Jewish survivors of Nazi atrocities and gives students an opportunity to perform service oriented activities while making a real personal connection with those who survived the Holocaust. As Nicky and Jennifer so eloquently stated, these relationships change the lives of both students and survivors.
