A documentary film crew paid a visit to the JCS Congregate Meal site at the South Shore Community Center on June 27th. Called “Jews on Bikes,” the film features an eclectic of mix of motorcycle riders from London aged 26 – 70 who were on a 4,000 mile journey around the U.S.

In the course of their trip from Ottawa to Miami (their last stop), the “King David Riders”  explored other cultures, all things American and the sights and sounds that make the U.S. what it is today. It was a personal journey for them as they re-evaluated their faith from a different perspective.

While at the Congregate Meal Site, the bikers helped serve food and interviewed some of the clients in attendance. This major six-part documentary will be broadcast on Sky Atlantic TV in December 2012 and may also air on HBO.
